The Adventures in History series historical fiction includes books like Out of the Ordinary, the story of Julia (based on the author's grandmother), who lived near the mining town of Ludlow, Colorado, in the early 20th century, and The Monkey's Constitution, about a 12-year-old powder monkey aboard the U.S.S.
